Things are looking up for both twins Elizabeth is a star reporter at the LA Tribune with a popular blog, and Jessica's PR career is on the fast-track. But while the professional lives of the Wakefield sisters are secure, their personal lives may be in jeopardy. Jessica, now a mother, finds that managing parenthood, marriage, and a job is harder than she expected, while Elizabeth and Bruce must face a scandal that could strengthen their bond…or tear them apart for ever.
Meanwhile, life goes on in Sweet Valley. Families are made, hearts are broken, and…Lila Fowler is a reality TV star? Some things never change.

DON'T READ IT! JUST DON'T!If you read Sweet Valley: Confidential, I strongly... no, I plead you... to stop there. This six series continuation is a waste of everyone's time and money. Having ended the story we all love ten years later on a sweet note, this series just rips the characters apart and reveal them as either malicious or dumb and naive. Oh, and the ending will just leave you traumatized and disappointed for life. I so wish I could delete these six books from my memory and left it at that.

The Sweet Life #1 An ESerial Sweet Valley Confidential eBook Francine Pascal Reviews
I am a HUGE fan of Sweet Valley High! I have a lot of the older books and everytime I go to book warehouses (especially out of town) I look for all of them to complete my collection. It was definitely my favorite series growing up and I still have a Sweet Valley High read-a-thon when I'm stressed from Nursing studies and need some brain candy, and they're still good! Sweet Valley High Confidential Ten Years Later is 10 stars! I throuroughly enjoyed it! Now to the E-Series...since that's said and done, I wasn't really a fan of this. It was too short, for one. I was confused if it was for pre-teens, teenagers, or adults. It seemed like it was a children's book with bad words in it. Once minute you were in one scene with Jessica, the next minute you were with Todd or Bruce, it was just VERY loosely written and seemed to be written in a haste. It didn't keep me interetsted in the E-Series and, honestly, they should be free! I hope Sweet Valley comes out with more books like 'Confidential' or even the 2 to 3-part miniseries from the good old days, but as far as this goes, unfortunately I'm going to pass.
I, like most of you reading this review, grew up on Sweet Valley books. They were a huge part of my childhood, and I occasionally go back and read my old books. I had just finished reading Sweet Valley Confidential, which was such a travesty to all of us Sweet Valley fans, but I felt I should at least try this E series. In the Sweet Life, we pick up three years after Sweet Valley Confidential. The Wakefield twins are now 30 years old. I must say this is a vast improvement over Sweet Valley Confidential. There are a few typos, but I've seen a lot worse in other ebooks. The second Sweet Life book does an even better job of cutting down on the typos.
In these short ebooks, we once again get caught up in the drama of the Wakefield twins lives, but it is a much more adult drama than we are used to (there are some F-bombs flying). I think if you enjoyed the Sweet Valley series growing up, you will enjoy these ebooks. I read this one in a little over an hour. It is very addicting and leaves you wanting more. It is so refreshing really, like catching up with old friends that you haven't seen in years. I'm looking forward to reading the rest in the series, and hopefully they will make this a regular thing! I also think you can't beat the price. Recommended for Sweet Valley fans!
After the horrible Sweet Valley Confidential Ten Years Later novel last year, here comes six new e-serials picking up three years later. Jessica Wakefield is now a mother of a two-year-old named Jake, and she is recently separated from her husband, Todd. She now has a successful job as vice president of VERTPLUS.net and a big deal with Revlon is coming up. She still loves Todd, but he is now dating a co-worker.
Elizabeth Wakefield is still adjusting to the whole Jessica/Todd situation, as Todd is her ex, but she is happy writing a small column for the L.A. Tribune, and spending time with her multi-millionaire boyfriend, Bruce Patman.
The lives of the Wakefield twins are turned upside down when Bruce Patman is accused of sexually assaulting a young female intern. Elizabeth is determined to clear her boyfriend's name by finding this mystery accuser. By using her journalism connections, she tracks down the intern, and after an interview with her, Elizabeth starts to question where or not Bruce is innocent or guilty of the crime.
After last year's disastrous Ten Years Later, I am a little surprised that there is a new Sweet Valley out. This time it is coming out in a six-part serial series this summer and later in the fall, it will be released in hardback. The Sweet Life #1 is somewhat of an improvement over the Ten Years Later book, as the plot and the majority of the characters are similar to the old Sweet Valley High series. I got a kick out of Lila who is a part of the reality series True Housewives of Sweet Valley as it fits her character perfectly. There are a few inconsistencies here and there, but nothing that will distract the reader from enjoying this new addiction to the Sweet Valley franchise.
I've rekindled my childhood love affair with Francine Pascsal's Sweet Valley twins. It's really an amazing opportunity and experience to read stories on these girls that were apart of my childhood. After reading reviews on the prior edition, I was skeptical but pushed forward with my purchase. I'm glad I did. The first few pages I thought the book would be predictable or lack character dimensions ( such as having a repetitive storyline or the jerk and the martyr or all perfection or all drama). I was wrong. It was a nice mix. The characters are true to themselves yet a bit evolved and with depth and complexity . As a professional actor and psychologist, I enjoy character analysis and I can say the book does a pretty good job of showing the truth and complexity in of how anyone can hurt, grow, thrive, ... how any one of us can wind up in situations sometimes that you never thought were possible. The storyline is interesting. As a busy 30 something adult I rarely have time to read for pleasure but I'm grateful this author has got my reading for pleasure again. So glad the twins are back in my life! What a wonderful surprise.
Appreciatively,
DON'T READ IT! JUST DON'T!
